To be very honest, we never had the opportunity to try the food at the Cabernet Grill. Our wine tour company recommended this restaurant so I made reservations the Tuesday before our trip. The food at Cabernet Grill may very well be good but the client relations there are sub par. We had reservations for 5 for an early seating on Friday night(5:30pm). We were celebrating my dear friend's birthday and this would have been our first visit this weekend.. Four of us drove from Houston for the weekend and one came from Dallas. At the last minute, my niece and her husband, who live in San Antonio, decided they'd like to join us. I've had the good fortune to dine in quite a few incredible restaurants in my life all over the world and NEVER had any issue adding 2 people to a table of 5 EVER before. Somehow, the Cabernet Grill sets rigid rules and are completely unwilling to make Any changes in reservations for a larger group. I even spoke with the manager and still poor client relations.
We went to Hondos instead and had a wonderful celebration.
I don't plan to go back to Cabernet Grill any time soon. -

Wow is all I can say. Not only was I lucky enough to be here during peach season and get those flavors infused in cocktail, appetizers and desert but everything else was so elevated.
If you are lucky enough to have their lobster covered chicken fried ribeye with green Chile gravy then your are blessed. -

We stayed at Cotton Gin Village for my birthday getaway so we had reservations here for the evening of my birthday. They had a birthday card waiting on the table for me & gave me a complimentary cheesecake dessert which was a complete surprise! I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfectly & my husband had the pork loin. I don't eat a lot of pork but I would actually order it if we come back b/c it was amazing. I also love the little mint meringue cookies they gave us at the end of our meal.

Came here for our 6 year anniversary. Made last minute reservations. The team was on their game here. We got a table upstairs. We dressed very nice for this occasion. The place is filled with history and local art. The wines are Texas local wines. We had William Christ wine. We both ordered Filets off the menu. Sweet Potato on one and regular potato on the other. The team here had a card signed by everyone for our Anniversary. Trystan was our team member who served us. Great person. Very helpful on selecting our dinner. It was an early dinner. We were in no hurry. After finishing dinner the restaurant had a chocolate desert for our occasion and champagne to boot. WOW this was a great dinner. The service was above and beyond what we expected here. The locals everywhere recommend this place. We do also. Thanks team.
